    As Sales Manager you will develop and strategically grow existing accounts and new business for CPLG’s representation in the GAS (Germany, Austria, Switzerland) region within various licensing categories. Working with the Managing Director of Central Europe and GAS, other CPLG regions and the CPLG Europe brand team, you'll secure licensees for each property and maximise retail activity. The office is based in Munich.

    Responsibilities

    You will get to:

    • Be the main commercial contact for all business across all brands and defined categories in Germany
    • Work with the regional MD and Commercial/Brand & Retail Director to set and execute the Company’s licensing and retail strategies and review quarterly within the company´s budget process
    • Collaborate closely with Business Development and Brand Ambassadors to drive company direction to significantly increase Brands licensing revenue
    • Prepare and exceed annual forecasts through guiding commercial team and managing portfolio of own category accounts
    • Select Licensor account management, acting as main point of contact and driving the commercial team to activate agreed strategies
    • Maximise use of CRM system across all projects
    • Identify, negotiate and secure suitable licensees, in accordance with agreed licensor strategies
    • Build and maintain effective working relationships with licensees, licensors, partners and retailers (where appropriate)
    • Work closely with key licensees and Retail & Marketing team to ensure strong retail distribution and identify and secure cross-promotional retail activity
    • Conduct business reviews for Licensors and internal CPLG management to consistently high standards

    As Sales Manager you will also:

    • Collect relevant market information, identifying market opportunities
    • Agree commercial team category management responsibilities with MD Central Europe, reviewing at least annually to ensure business needs are supported
    • Continuously strive to identify and secure new licensees that have not worked with CPLG
    • Provide information to assist in marketing and sales plans
    • Supervise contract realisation
    • Provide feedback on the progress and outcome of the commercial efforts
    • Visit trade fairs at home and abroad as appropriate

    Qualifications

    You will be a great fit on our team if you are an innovative and creative sales person and you have:

    • A keen eye for detail, hands-on approach with a strategic vision
    • Outstanding interpersonal and networking skills

    • Good verbal and written skills in German and English
    • University education preferred but not essential
    • Good knowledge of MS Office including Excel and PowerPoint
    • An Entrepreneurial spirit and can communicate at all levels

     

    Travel will be required for this role
